Hello Parents!

Hello Parents!

My name is John Odom (Coach John). I will be your son's soccer coach for the 2016 spring season! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I really look forward to this opportunity to coach your son! I look forward to not only teaching him the fundamentals of soccer, but the value of teamwork and good sportsmanship! And all of this will be centered around the most important part of the process and that is HAVING FUN!

So to give some information about myself, I'm a Nashville native. I'm 37 years old. I've played soccer since I was 4 years old and started on the same fields our team will be playing on! I went from playing at HYSA to playing on select/travel teams until I reached high school. I played for a club team through my college years at UT Knoxville where I got my degree in Speech Communication.

Along with the experience I have with soccer, I love kids! I enjoy the challenge of teaching them. I've provided one-on-one skill development sessions for the past 12 years in the Nashville/Bellevue area for kids ages 4-13. My coaching revolves around 3 main points: Demonstrating good teamwork and sportsmanship by respecting others at all times, doing your best, and most importantly, HAVING FUN!
