WELCOME TO LAKESHORE YOUTH ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
Goal: To provide sports for kids in the area of Lakeshore Elementary and Middle School to include those who attend Mount Mourne IB and Home School kids in the area as well.
Mission: To teach the general rules and regulations of the various sports, instill a sense of teamwork and character in each player and to teach the proper skills needed to succeed outside the organization as players progress toward middle school and high school sports.
ABOUT LYAA
LYAA is a parent volunteer non-profit organization of either parents of current players or parents of those who have played in the past. We normally break even by giving any profits made, if any, back to the organization in ways such as the new staircase to the upper field, batting cages, new sports equipment, etc. In most sports, we fall under larger organizational umbrella's and we play into those leauges and follow their guidelines and rules. We have directors for each sport and coaches who have first call the following year to coach again or coach up a level as their kids move up. We are always in need of coaches and assistant coaches. We have an executive board and general board members who meet the 1st Wednesday of each month and anyone is invited; friends, family, concerned parents, potential new members.
Sponsorships and Donations
We thrive on sponsorships and donations, if we do not have these, we cannot exist and keep prices for our kids as low as we can.
